Galveston Police Officer Fired For Conduct Unbecoming of an Officer
The Galveston County Daily News, Texas’s oldest newspaper, reported today that Galveston Police Officer Brandon Nelson was fired from the Galveston Police Department for “conduct unbecoming of an officer and conduct prejudicial to good order.”
The paper reports that Nelson was placed on leave after a Halloween incident wherein the complainant reported that Nelson used profanity towards her and “[slammed] her head against her house as he placed handcuffs on her.” The complainant was reportedly released and not charged with a crime. The paper reports that the complainant “says she suffered a bruised eye and fractured eye socket” and is “undergoing testing to determine if she needs surgery.”
Nelson was terminated from the Galveston Police Department.
